Yavapai County Jail Roster

The adult Yavapai County inmate records search is the YCSO Online Inmate Search, published by the sheriff's office led by Sheriff David Rhodes. It is hosted on the county apps domain, not on a commercial jail vendor site, and it is free to use without a login. The form is also much thinner than many jail rosters. It accepts a last name and returns a small result table for matching in-custody adults. During research, the official screen showed an "Information is accurate as of" timestamp, so the roster should be treated as a periodically updated custody list rather than a real-time dispatch log.

Yavapai County inmate records on the public roster cover current adult county custody. They do not replace court records, criminal-history checks, juvenile records, state prison files, federal prison files, or ICE detainee records. Result rows observed from official sample searches showed only an inmate number, booking date, location, and name. The roster did not show mugshots, charges, bond amounts, arresting agencies, demographic fields, court dates, release dates, or a clickable detail page. For booking photos and fuller booking records, the official fallback is a YCSO public-records request, not a deeper public roster profile.

The screenshot matters because the public form confirms the limited last-name search field and the John/Jane Doe bail notice that affects unidentified bookings.

Use Yavapai County Inmate Search

Start with the official roster when the person may be in the Camp Verde Detention Center, Prescott Detention Center, or a medical placement tied to the Yavapai County jail system. The roster location labels are brief. Samples included CVDC UNIT 2, CVDC UNIT 3, CVDC UNIT 4, CVDC UNIT 6, PJC UNIT A, and MEDICAL. CVDC points to the Camp Verde Detention Center. PJC appears to refer to the Prescott jail or criminal justice center side of the system, but YCSO does not publish a public decoder for every unit label.

1. Open the official YCSO Online Inmate Search and read the roster timestamp before relying on a result.
2. Enter only the person's last name. Use the booked family name, and try each part of a hyphenated or compound surname if the first search fails.
3. Click the Search button. A blank search was not observed to return a full public roster.
4. Read each matching row for inmate number, booking date, housing location, and booked name.
5. Use the location label to decide whether the person is likely on the Camp Verde side, Prescott side, or in a medical status.
6. If the person is missing, call the Detention Facility Information Line at (928) 567-7734 for new bookings, releases, transfers, spelling issues, or John/Jane Doe records.
7. If a booking record, jail booking photo, jail phone call, or jail video is needed, use the YCSO public-records process.

Do not use the county roster after a person has been sentenced and moved into state prison. At that point, the ADCRR Inmate Data Search is the correct search path. Yavapai County Roster Fields

The Yavapai County jail roster search-field inventory is short and should stay short. Research found no first-name box, booking-number box, date-of-birth field, date range, charge filter, sex filter, status filter, facility filter, released-inmate filter, or advanced-search panel on the public form. Adding those fields would misstate how the official search works.

The one-field design makes spelling the main search risk. Try common variants, former names, and visible surname segments before assuming the person is not in Yavapai County custody. New bookings may also lag behind the public display, and a person may move out of the county roster after release, transfer, state-prison commitment, federal pickup, or another agency hold.

Note: The official roster does not state how long released inmates stay visible, and inspected results looked current-custody focused.

Yavapai County Record Results

A Yavapai County inmate record row is useful, but it is not a full booking packet. The public table gives enough information to confirm a possible custody match and locate the person inside the adult jail system. It does not show the charge story. Formal charges, case filings, court dates, and dispositions should be checked through the court record path after arrest, because prosecutors and courts may file or amend charges after the jail booking event.

Fields not visible in the inspected public rows are just as important. No mugshot, date of birth, age, sex, race, height, weight, arresting agency, charge, statute, bond amount, bond type, court date, case number, warrant number, release status, or full profile link was observed. For a booking photo, arrest report, jail booking record, medical report, jail phone call, or jail video, the official YCSO records request channel is the more accurate path.

Yavapai County Booking Records

Adult booking starts when an arrested person, court-ordered inmate, or self-surrendering person is received by YCSO detention staff. The jail creates the custody record, assigns an inmate number, records the booking date and time, handles property, completes identity work, and places the person in a housing or medical location. The public roster shows only a small slice of that process. It does not list the full intake notes, property record, medical screening, charge detail, or release paperwork.

The John/Jane Doe notice is a local detail that can affect release. YCSO states that a person booked as unidentified cannot post bail until properly identified through the sheriff's detention fingerprint process. If someone has legal identification for an unidentified arrestee, the detention information line is the route for instructions. Arizona criminal process also requires an arrested person to be brought before a judge for an initial appearance within 24 hours or be released. That court event is where the judge addresses identity, rights, probable cause for release-custody purposes, counsel, and release conditions.

Self-surrender rules also shape the booking record. YCSO says people being taken into custody should not bring suitcases, toiletries, books, stamps, jewelry, devices, knives, over-the-counter medication, checks, crafts, candy, cigarettes, extra clothing, musical instruments, or phones. Jail clothing, footwear, hygiene items, and linens are provided. If medication was provided in custody, YCSO instructs the person to ask detention staff to notify Medical Services before release and to call within 24 hours if released without prescription medication.

Yavapai County Jail Contacts

The adult Yavapai County inmate records search is unified, but the county operates two adult detention centers. Camp Verde is the primary jail contact for the site because YCSO publishes the detention information line there and uses the Camp Verde detention address for inmate mail. Prescott is the newer adult jail location tied to the Prescott Criminal Justice Center and the west-county court side. Juvenile detention is separate and is not part of the adult roster.

The YCSO detention center contact page lists the adult facility addresses and phones. It should be used before visiting, posting bond, or mailing anything, because a current custody location can change after booking.

Yavapai County Jail Visits

Visitation is tied to custody location and scheduling rules, so it should be checked after the roster confirms that the person is still in Yavapai County adult custody. YCSO uses on-site video visits at both adult facilities and remote internet video visits through Securus. Visits must be scheduled at least one day ahead and may be scheduled as far as 14 days ahead. On-site adult visits are 20 minutes, free, and not held on holidays.

Mail for adult inmates uses the Camp Verde detention mailing address with the inmate name. YCSO accepts handwritten or typed letters that meet jail rules, plus approved electronic messages and approved publications through approved sources. The ban list is detailed. It includes Polaroid-type photos, blank paper, envelopes, photocopies, internet prints, staples, stamps, most postcards, clippings, laminated items, stationery or colored paper other than yellow legal-pad paper, scented mail, gel ink, crayon, paint, glitter, stickers, tape, and sexually oriented or inflammatory material. Rejected mail is placed in inmate property, documented, and the recipient is notified.

Yavapai County Custody Limits

Many failed inmate searches come from using the right name in the wrong system. Yavapai County inmate records on the YCSO roster are for current adult county custody, including pretrial detainees, short county or city sentences, and people awaiting release, transport, court, or transfer. They are not the same as Arizona state prison records. Once a felony sentence sends a person to the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry, the county roster may stop being the right tool.

No ADCRR prison, BOP institution, or confirmed ICE detention facility was found inside Yavapai County in the official facility lists reviewed. An ADCRR Prescott Valley office exists for community reentry or supervision context, but it is not a jail or prison custody facility. ICE search material included an inaccessible reference to a possible Yavapai County detention contract, but the official page could not be verified during research, so it should not be treated as a confirmed local ICE facility.

Yavapai County Records Request

When the online roster is too sparse, the YCSO public-records request page is the official fallback. The request should include enough detail to identify the record, such as a report number, incident location, incident date and time, involved names, date of birth or other identifiers if known, relationship to the involved person when relevant, and the reason for the request. Records staff are not authorized to run broad person searches or personal NCIC criminal-history checks. Active reports are not released, and released reports may be redacted under state and federal rules.

For non-commercial requests, YCSO's fee schedule lists jail booking, arrest, and medical reports at no charge for print, email, or mail delivery. Jail booking photos are also listed at no charge for non-commercial print, email, or mail delivery. Other materials can cost money, especially audio, jail phone calls, jail video, body-worn camera video, disks, USB drives, or commercial-purpose requests. Payment channels and price details should be checked on the official request page before ordering media.

Arizona public-records law supports inspection and copying of public records, but it does not make every jail detail public in raw form. Juvenile records, medical details, active investigations, protected personal data, and sealed or restricted court matters can be withheld or redacted. A records request is strongest when it asks for a specific booking, report, photo, call, or video instead of asking the records unit to research a person's full history.

Yavapai County Inmate Support

Support actions should wait until custody is confirmed. Securus handles adult jail phone services and video visitation features. Securus or JPay handles trust fund deposits online, through kiosks at Prescott and Camp Verde, or by phone at 800-574-5729. YCSO says jail kiosks accept $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills and MasterCard or Visa credit and debit cards. Mailed checks and money orders are not accepted through the mail. Care packages use the Aramark iCare program.

Messages are not taken for inmates except verified emergencies, and incoming calls are not allowed except verified emergencies. Publications must come directly from a recognized publisher, distributor, or authorized retailer, must be paperback and prepaid, and must comply with the jail's security rules. Commissary items such as candy, toiletries, writing materials, and stamps must be obtained through jail channels, not mailed by friends or family. Current custody status is the first check before sending funds, scheduling a visit, or ordering a package.
